We launched our first start up in Australia during a recession (9 years later so far so good), and are doing it all over again now here in the US. We figure start-ups aren't hard enough to launch in a good economy ;) And the bottom picture is of NCAR, not our house. Our house in the US is a little condo that we're renting - another wonder of being the start-up widow. Good luck with your stuff! Thank you! Something about your post rings a bell, except that I am a start-up-newly-wed-on-the-way-to-widowhood-if-this-economy-doesn't-turn-around. My husband and I were commiserating about the State of the Union and "Where on Earth would we, could we go for some improvement?" We thought Australia (there's the connection). No further speculation, just that it seems like it could be a nice sensible place. But alas, their economy is falling apart too! Maybe one day.
