They're not really interested in the news as the primary factor - they just have a habit, and it's a core part of that habit. I started mostly to get the coupons, but sometimes I just like to spend Sunday morning with my cup of coffee and the newspaper and since my daughter likes to play with all the advertisements it keeps her busy long enough for me to do a bit of reading.
